US bail out is not positive for CNP. US bail out just shows how bad the credit market has become. Its a lot deeper than just one overgeared shopping centre owner. Banks are not thinking about these situations but about trying to save themselves & hopefully gain some liquidity into the credit markets. The more credit dries up the worse it becomes to try & transact business. CNP needs buyers who have access to funds.
These bail out operations will continue to occur as new problems arise. Sub prime & situations like CNP no longer the front page stories as the crisis just keeps getting deeper.
There is going to be problems everywhere that derivatives have been created & unfortunately "Main Street" investors & taxpayers are going to have to foot the bill through taxes & inflation.
