whoa, not yet, only if Nicole Rose is resigned or is sacked on Monday, and only if the new Dutton regime (Nicole Rose was a Michael Keenan appointee) has an AUSTRAC CEO who comes after the BNPL corporates like APT?
A new AUSTRAC might pursue APT harder but it will take time IMHO.
AUSTRAC implosion is better news for Westpac, along with TAH and CBA, the only ones affected so far from the Rose’s AUSTRAC?
I think the compliance is a real risk for APT and the risk got bigger with tthe New Corp articles into the AUSTRAC Investigation and the Nicole Rose lack of Tertiary qualification and the CV which News Corp argues is highly embellished and the Nicole is under qualified.
The uncertainty and risks for APT are already out there though with an over 9% drop. if the news about AUSTRAC was known and the news articles afore known, it will not go down another, but if not, it could be worse?
