The classic example for me was Japan in 1989.
It was repeatedly said that only a fool didn't realise that every pullback was a great buying opportunity.
Since Dec 1989 Japan is down 70% after nearly 20 years of bear market.
The market trained them well and for much of the early decline they kept on buying.
I have a feeling many will never buy a stock again over there and probably here before this is finished next decade.
