I have to be careful about racial references and stereotyping, but the Jewish people, probably because of their lack of a homeland and property holdings in the past became adept at financial skills plus other skills.

While some may make a sterotype of the Shylock character of Shakespeare, businesses such as diamond trading and money lending and brokerage and other financial activities have a very significant Jewish influence in the US.

Some have been cruel enough to suggest the the US is a satellite of Israel, and there is no doubt that the US is the main champion of Israel and there have been a vast number of Jewish Americans with dual citizenship serving as White House "staff".

I make no judgement about it at all other than to suggest, and I don't think anyone would dispute it, that the Jewish community has a very large "footprint" in the financial and political arena in the US.

As such, their absence is a very big deal whether it comes to political representation or market participation.
