I have my own theories for the apparent China slowdown:
Very short-term, at the moment, there's a weeklong holiday.
Medium-term, they are deliberately not buying, giving the pretext of a slowdown, to drive down prices, especially the benchmark copper. It's succeeding, but for how long.
They have to blink soon.
I could be very wrong of course.
$13 BHP?
That's a 62% drop in a share price, alla Babcock and Brown, ABC learning and 101 penny-dreadful specs.
Somehow I never saw BHP in that class.
