Ash,besides that group of politicians listed,the real elephant in the room is the imo only obvious ie defence. As posted we r wasting tens of billions on unproven and no delivery date on conventional submarines ,forget delivery date even a design date.. Those who are prepared to speak out without fear of losing their naval jobs are beginning to state the obvious.We need nuclear submarines to have a superior se asia fleet. I could go on but imo only watch this space. Going by an expert who suggested some time back 6 barracuda class french nuclear subs or 4 US virginia class subs plus a couple of conventional would give us that superior fleet.. This will require a nuclear industry. But of course to take advantage or participate in such an energy industry will require a new tls ceo,chairman,probably a new tls energy generation manager.
