.....and an extremist right wing Russian government, supported by an inner circle of obscenely rich and corrupt capitalists, is taking the opportunity, whislt the rest of the world reels from a prolonged financial crisis, to start a military campaign to reclaim territories lost to it in a (cold) war that ended nearly 2 decades ago. Because of financial incapacity and a public loss of appetite for war, a policy of appeasement is adopted by other major powers.

Now where in history have I heard of something like that before ??
