Heard one story of a couple that sold their house put $500,000 approx into Opes on the basis that they were going to buy some bank shares and other supposed "blue chips" while they were looking for another house to live. Hadnt bought any shares .... it was just cash sitting there. ALL GONE. Good on you ANZ and Mike Smith says he cares........go figure. It's pathetic the lack of empathy and PR just on that one alone. People have had enough and I for one will never give up putting the boot into ANZ. EVER.
But yes lets hope their share price rallies so they may just be a little more conceding if it does come to some sort of mediation.
