That is right Littlemak, this again. People keep comparing the initiation of a trial burn as the same as demonstrating a groundbreaking concept. They are not the same thing.

As for your comment above, all energy companies are at the mercy of the price of energy. LNC is tied to the price of oil and CNX to the price of gas. LNC have estimated that they can produce ultraclean diesel at a cost of $28 per barrel. CNX is tied to the price of gas. Gas is used to make Ammonia whether it is from Natural gas or Syngas. CNX has estimated a cost of $1.50 per GJ to produce their Syngas. The last time I looked, the price of NG on the east coast of Aus was around $3 to $4 per GJ. If CNX have underestimated the cost of producing Syngas and the price of NG falls below the actual cost of producing Syngas because of a worldwide recession, then the project becomes uneconomical. After UCG being around for the past 60 years it only became economically competitive in recent years.

BTW CNX gold tenements are refractory ore.
