This whole fiasco is Vietnam all over again. Bremer has only to upset the Kurds now to have everyone in Iraq against the US.
We are not an invading nation. We're just not.
Nor is the US alliance so important to us that we end up despised as dogs by the rest of the world, like Finland who sided with the Nazis and who became a pariah nation for decades after WW2.
It's only a matter of time before Aussies become targetted in Iraq. Just another group of unwelcome invaders.
