If you have a 15% pa interest rate on USD$200M, then the annual interest is USD$30M
Assuming an exchange rate to AUD of1.5, then you have AUD$300m. The 15% interest rate is exactly the same in this case and the interest on AUD$300M is AUD$45M
AUD$45M is equivalent to USD$30M and the interest is 15% in both cases and the real amount of interest paid in either currency is exactly the same.
