Yes Merchant are long term patient investors looking for far more than a 10x return. As they understand from their experience with PNV if you back the right team with the right IP the rewards in biotech can be massive. There is still lots of risk with this model, but if you invest in a 100 bagger then you can afford to make a lot of bad calls on your other investments.
