Ys of course it could be a 450m deep open pit (less than the Kalgoorlie super pit which is over 600m btw) but I think no need to do that. I think it'd be much cheaper and easier to mine it by U/G methods at the feeder zone. The pegmatites are compact, thick enough, at same level and in one place. Very easy to reach them by a decline which is also quite cheap. The geological conditions ar every favourable for shallow U/G mining there as well; completely hard rock. Not much dangers.
Some downrampers were trying to get people scared by U/G mining but it's easy and very cost effective because the grades are very high and the pegmatites down there are very thick.
