These kiosks were a half decent interim technology.

Unfortunately for pie, the interim time has long passed in any Vandal free safe western demography.

The interim was never going to be long enough for the business model to create share holder value.

The pubic phone box concept/demographic is revenue soft.

There are just too many faster, cheaper, more convenient alternatives.

Have you ever seen a user, let alone a queue at one of these kiosks ?

I certainly haven't.

Anyone that needs to access the net is doing it for free at the QANTAS Club or on their own lap top in the taxi.

They will be remembered by telephone box collectors in the same vane that Leyland p76's are remembered by car collectors.
