    Hi Westaussie,

in direct answer to your questions:
"Did you utter a sigh of relief like me when you read the report released last week."
    No.

"My first reaction was – oh no - only Railway results again"

Results from a hole which was drilled in May. See any one of their previous ASX announcements with a drilling map.

"but when you read between the lines the report has some hidden indications of hope."

It does. But "hope" does not generally form part of my investment strategy.

"The corporate update leaves a lot to our imagination with hints of possible strategies/proposal being received from 3rd parties."

I would say that the forum chatter figured that out weeks/months ago?

"It is plainly obvious now UMC have a substantial and valuable asset with the Railway deposit and with figures and estimates I have received this alone should value our shares even in this market at above the $2 mark."

Who knows what the current market 'should' value our shares at. $1.15. I'd like to see more director buying on market.

"What disappoints me is their statement that any assay results from Railway East, Jumbo Junction and Yandi Headwaters will not be released until the Quarterly report."

Yeah, hopefully it won't take five months between drilling a hole and reporting the results in future. Considering that many Railway holes 'ended' in high grade iron ore - netter than previously reported results were probably already expected.

"Hasn’t a lesson been learnt from last week – the public like’s news"

    Agree 100%

"It begs the question. Was this report forced by shareholder pressure or is this slow release process a part of their strategies/proposals to achieve a friendly 3rd party marriage."

I hope you're not suggesting that the company deliberately held information back. From the rest of your post, you imply that this course of action has been negative for the share price, which would not have been in shareholders interests.

"I suppose time will tell when they are ready to enlighten us. In the mean time I am more than happy to wait for a better exit price."

They need to get the share price off life support.
Maybe Phil could get the guys to tell us something we don't already know (without breaching confidentiality agreements). That might send the share price up.
EG: Last December it was ok to release visual confirmations, but this year when it came to Jumbo and Yandi they haven't bothered. Clearly this is a deliberate change of strategy (by Matt and Barry) that has kept people in the dark.

In 2007 the quarterly was released on 12th October.
In 2006 the quarterly was released on 20th October.

    Hopefully not long to wait,

    Joel
