So now that you're out of gold and the share market, and clearly bonds are off the table, I suppose you intend to invest only in property? That actually takes serious money to do it properly and without having to use so-called 'banksters'. So I won't be following you down that path.
The scenario you've outlined for gold mining shares is correct, up to a point. But you don't seem to have a firm grasp of how gold has behaved in similar situations in the past.
Naturally, the price of gold and NST itself will come under pressure if the market continues to slide next week. They serve their purpose as a source of cash for those who need funds or to settle the nerves of those who are panicked. At some point, such distressed people will run short of shares to sell. In any case, when markets start returning to normal trading, gold is very likely to outperform all other sectors. This is how it has happened in the past.
If you honestly believe that gold is in a bubble then I don't believe you're old enough to have experienced a gold bubble.
