you are right on the ball I reckon with your thoughts about geological signatures - the little tell-tale signposts that point to gold-bearing quartz, only readable and recognised by the local geologists
such as in the geological reports could mention fuchsite or some other obscure mineralization but there is no flashing neon light associated with it that says "gold nearby"
and an old railway running between the two Waverly dykes - the evidence is building up to support that belief
