Her dad works in manufacturing and looking at the situation there is a probability that he'll lose his jobs. Many non-professional mates around me are losing jobs left right and center already, most notably artists who lose their gigs at pubs and other venues.

It is important for people to acknowledge the gravity of the situation, and that should include their investments. At the very least don't mindlessly up ramp at every opportunity like a broken record player like what the bear does.

I must admit I have a more pessimistic view to you, I don't think the bounce will be swift over the next few weeks. More economic data will become available, most notably unemployment rates, clearance rates and gdp. Goldman Sachs is now predicting -5% quarterly GDP for the US which is just nuts.
