The real catalyst - rationality and confidence that the global economy is not doomed. People are so dominated by fear and so they follow the herds.

Sure things are not that great but we have gone through lot of economy crisis before and we managed to overcome them and move on. I am very certain that the US economy will prevail and those who thinks that China is slowing down very much = just do not get it. If they can go through all those trouble just for the Beijing Olympics - they will not let the ball drops for their economy. Export to US only accounted for less than 10% of their GDP.
