Oh, I'd love any and all of those. Vanilla slice, mmmmm, cream puffs, jam and cream doughnuts, I remember "match sticks" from the tuckshop at school, little fairy cakes (the real name) with some dark jam, maybe plum jam, and the good old lamington.
My mum used to make (for the church), SNOWBALLS!!! The marsh mellow inside was melt-in-mouth type, very fresh, of course, not the stale chewy ones from the shops..... They were made in large roasting dishes, where a fruit was used to push an indent into the deep flour-filled dishes, where the mixture was poured. She made many, many dozens of these. Covered in chocolate and dessicated coconut, of course. Memories like that stay with me.
