there are numerous margin calls sales in this sector, combined with active short selling i suspect.
news media has also contributed, with articles suggesting smaller not for profit childcare centres only can survive for a few 'weeks' in a shutdown scenario, in absence of any new government support. That is true for any smaller enterprise ,as in a shutdown there is no sales revenue.
You would think in a shutdown, the govt will do everything it can to prop up its workforce and industries, and that includes supporting childcare.
