gold index worst perfromer on asx

The Gold index was the worst performer on the ASX falling 6% followed by Energy which fell 3%.

Despite Gold rising last night in USD to $860 and in AUD terms to $1,200 (which is a record) Gold stocks still fell. They didn't get any joy from the interest rate cut unlike financials which had a big boost in the afternoon.

I wonder what it will take to get Gold stocks (especially juniors) to move higher.
