Against my better judgement I did have a look at the Westpac link you provided and its update re growth and unemployment. All old news to the stock market. Yes they have seen "reports of limited liquidity in government and corporate debt markets", that's what the "money printing" is supposed to address. Did a search over the pdf for "credit" and "credit crisis", with no result. When they report that a large number of mortgage defaults are occurring or are forecast, and when the property market starts to plummet I'll take notice. Currently I'm only about 15% exposed to the stock markets, cashed up, no debt, and ready to purchase more properties if a real credit crisis emerges, but I think I'm going to have to wait until 2026-27 before that opportunity comes about.

So my approach during these times of mass hysteria is to get ready to take advantage of plummeting asset prices, whether in the stock market or in the property market. Currently the stock market is my focus. it's a bit to early to declare who was right and who was wrong I think. But for me that question is totally irrelevant. The message is that to win you have to be willing to buy when the masses are selling and sell when they are buying.

I think I'm starting to suffer from "hashysteria", apparently it is even more contagious than COVID-19.

Back to my humming ".... always look on the brighter side of life....da-da-dada......".
