I think most of us could take out the entire paltry buy depth most days!

Fortunately my average is somewhat lower around 10.5 - but still hurting significantly.

There may be better punts out there at current prices but when you couldn't sell at a reasonable price even if you wanted to it is just easier to sit tight and watch the stock continue to "find the bottom" and then "find another lower bottom"

IMO this is crunch time in the markets with a final ugly capitulation in share prices (note I didn't say "share value" which hasn't really changed). I think in the next two weeks we will see a very ugly bottom (all warty and covered in weeping sores), significantly below the current - maybe ASX around 4000, followed by a few months of stability in which the cream will begin to rise, a return of confidence, and then a recovery to a more sensible level - maybe about 5500-6000 by mid next year. This doesn't really tell the story for quality specs/mid-caps though - who will likely fair much better after they have lost SSSSOOOO much.
