I am growing about 150 broccoli from seed .
I got 4 packets of seed for $12.00 and a $8.00 bag of seed raising mix
Put the seed raising mix in 3 shallow wood trays about 400mm * 200mm * 50mm deep
Then put the seed in rows 1 seed at a time after putting the seeds on a white plate
Watered each day and now after 2 weeks the broccoli is about 40mm tall and I will transplant to the garden in a week at about 500mm spacings .
Seems a good way to reduce the cost of living , plus reduce the chance of getting corona as no other grubby hands touching it as in the supermarket , and it is therapeutic seeing the seedlings grow , plus probably healthier as fresher .
Will make some broccoli soup concentrate and freeze it with the excess that I do not give to relations
