all the data suggests our hospital system will be overrun in circa 2 weeks ......
our Govt had the data, and it has been shown that a lock-down will reduce the transmission (china / korea / Singapore etc) - at a cost of substaially reduced economic activity - circa 3-months.
Aust has chosen to
keep borders open for 2 months
keep schools open.....
net result is wide spread community transmission......
sadly - we will see what is happeneing in Italy in Oz in abt 3 weeks at the outside.
