It's not the sort of thing I ever notice, let alone comment, but the extent to which the market today suddenly decided to dump defensive sectors - healthcare (COH, RMD, CSL, SHL)) and grocery retailers (WOW, COL) - and started chasing financial leverage (banks and wealth managers - IFL, CGF) and market beta (cyclicals - ABC, BLD, FBU, JHX), is not something one sees very often.
Certainly not to this extent.
As to what it means (or indeed of it means anything at all), well that's a very big debate all on its own.
