The 'choices we make' is interesting given that what convinces us that something is true or false is out of our hands, an interaction of what we are and the information we have available to us.....Can we choose to become Hindus, Muslims or Jews by exerting our 'free will?' I say not. Something attracts a person to a faith or ideology, etc, thereby starting a process of conviction....often entailing quite a bit of selection bias...not that the aspiring believer would admit to that.
