To be honest at this point the Gov is rolling with the same philosophy a lot of others are doing. Can’t see as you can do otherwise at this moment.
Proof of leadership, teamwork and proper governance of the people is coming once this frees up a bit. How we approach a ‘crash’ of large proportion across the globe, that makes the GFC look positively lightweight, will be the true test.
There look to be dark times coming for all of us in a myriad of ways including death, lost jobs and houses etc. This would stress anyone.
The recovery approach should be in planning now but outsourced by Gov to responsible people (with ETHICS) and not left to the usual suspects to milk the system. There is a lot of pain for a lot of people in many ways.
We will all be expected to do our bit. However small it may be. We should show some pride and provide whatever we can when possible.
