We shouldn't punish good teachers because of student behaviours.
My family has a long pedigree of teachers, all of them passionate. There is definitely a culture in the management of the school system that makes student discipline exceedingly difficult for the teachers. The system seems skewed to punishing the teaching staff when e.g. complaints from year 9 femmes who conspire to make false complaints of inappropriate behaviour, a social media inspired and spread poison.
But to suggest the system doesn't have good outcomes is a furphy. My daughter (4 degrees) went through the state system and ended with her pic in the media as one of the state's star pupils. Her school friends are now numerous doctors, pharmacists, teachers, property developers, engineers and an architect thrown in. I'm like a surrogate dad to them and very proud.
Good outcomes do happen.
