Fatchick, That guy, Chick, is full of hate and lies about the Church. He promote anti-Catholicism, and intolerance.
Just a thought though. God talks to Moses and gets Moses to set up an elaborate system of sacrifices and offerings to do with killing animals. They do it for over 1000 yrs. Christ comes along and is the Pure Sacrificial Lamb. The Apostles, being Jewish and steeped in the Jewish practices of sacrifice, immediately see how Moses' system prefigured Christ. And on the Thursday night he gave them the Last Supper, and they immediately saw the connection between that supper and the Jewish Temple Sacrifices and Christs death. The Last Supper was one and is one with the Christ's death. Consequently the Church has always taught that.
Why pick on the Roman Catholic Church about that? Just look at the Copts in Egypt, split from Rome about 400 AD, and the Orthodox Churches, split from Rome about 1080 AD, all believe as the Roman Catholic Church believes about this issue. The History of the Church supports the Catholic Church position, it is the Protestants who have got it wrong, who refue to even consider history.
