There is an Australian company called ResApp Health which has English/European CE Mark medical certification to diagnose pneumonia by coughing into your smartphone. The company uses machine learning algorithems to identify the sound signatures of the coughs of a number of respiratory ailments, a bit like Shazam does with music, but here and now we are worried about pneumonia.

The NHS should be falling over themselves to get this AI out to all who are involved in protecting the population from the more insidious pathway to pneumonia.
