No one may want to hear this, but.. WGX, in my opinion, is of course highly leveraged to the gold price, BUT... its also highly leveraged on the down side, because of its relatively poor situation with hedging, cash, and... that it owner operator for all its mines, so... if it gets affected by mine shut downs, it will really struggle with all the costs that are associated with shutdowns, plus, they do not, I believe have large stockpiles that could potentially be used to feed the plant even if they only have to reduce their workforce.
To be honest, I feel there has been very little discussion on this topic overall on HC, considering that many countries already have their mines shut (NZ included). Its a long list.
@Gwaihir I believe is one of the few who so far seems to more than on top of what might be to come.
Of course, shut downs will not last forever, but... who will emerge the strongest from any adverse outcome (producer wise.... I have placed my bets).
