Qantas yesterday announced a 10 year, 1.05 billion dollar loan facility with an interest rate of 2.75% with no financial covenents on the facility!
In this climate, finance deals are still being done. LPD don't have the assets or reputation of Qantas but the DFS due in May hopefully will be enough to secure phase 1 finance.
I don't think the LPD SP will reflect any realistic value until finance for phase-1 is secured.
It would be fantastic IMO if LPD management could secure a 10 year, $100 million dollar facility at say 3.75% with no financial covenents and just get on with building the phase-1 plant ASAP!
Announcing this facility at the same time as the DFS would be a huge, positive shock to the market, a much needed profile lift for LPD and its management. IMO
