    First New Highs Lows Second pan from bottom

    There's still about 60+ stocks on Yearly Lows, but that is way less than the hundreds of a week ago.
    Very few stocks taken to yearly highs.

    And lets look at the range of movement
    I won't go into too much detail, but
    - the middle pane represents the daily range of each bar
    - the bottom pane the ATR

    They are both showing that the ranges we have seen in this move and seem, for now at least, to have maxed out - volatility, on a number of metrics, seems to dropping.

    This is one of those "watch this space" moments.
    Perhaps the sign we are looking for will be best described by an example.
    A 200 point move at a time when the average range is 600 points is just noise
    A 200 point move at a time when the average range is 100 points has more meaning.
