The SA batteries actually do work as a UPS and are already proven to be incredibly effective. If you knew anything about grid distribution you would know that .

A UPS is actually a good example in principle. It demonstrates how a flexible option can still do the job without the customer even knowing .

Right now , having multiple fossil generators is a form of UPS. They can't all run all the time. They need a backup service . Just like a UPS provides.

Snowy 2.0 , the Tassie ' Battery of the Nation ' and all the other commercial storages being considered are UPS's.

Behind the meter storage in every house is a form of UPS.

A fleet of grid connected evs are a form of UPS.

Distributed wind and solar resources spread across the country are a form of UPS's.

Stored renewable hydrogen is a form of UPS.

There are many UPS projects being developed around the country. They just don't talk about it on 2GB.
