Good article and well researched. Looking ahead, I cannot imagine the South Africa lockdown being extended too far as it relies heavily if not entirely on its mineral exports to bring in much needed $, given the economy is a basket - case in recent times, and this lockdown will only make it worse ( if thats possible). Taking Oz as a nexample, we have a staged lockdown with mining operations which are only a part of our economy so far escaping lockdown, so why would SA apply such an extreme lockdown measure. Maybe the reason is .. the same reason its a basket-case. Government ineptitude.
