Thousands of Australian staff = millions of $$ per WEEK from the govt for the next 6 months (at least) to contribute to wages.
That's $18m over six months for every 1,000 staff. Significant.
Obviously the company is evaluating how this measure, in combination with rent freezes, reduced spending, structural revision, etc etc can combine to provide a path forward through this period. It is far from over; new positive measures continually emerging. We'll see.
