Flight Centre went into suspension at 2:24 pm on the 19th of March. Uncannily, they appear to have picked the nadir for travel stocks in doing so. Here is the performance of its peers since that very point in time:

I'm not suggesting for one moment that Flight Centre would have replicated those returns if it had remained trading, there is no way of knowing this. But I would suggest that the subsequent performance of air-travel related stocks will give them significant leverage in negotiating terms for any potential equity raising. Flight Centre's brand, longevity and contribution to the work force are positives for attracting govt assisitance (such as we've seen in recent days with the job keeper payment) and indeed equity participation.

Rumours of Flight Centre's demise are greatly exaggerated.
