Just to make things clearer, releasing SleepCheck app as a screener doesn't preclude them from pursuing class 2 device approval down the track to assist in diagnosis. In fact class 1 makes sense as it can hit a wider market sooner. For all we know they will submit approval for class 2.

The results from the Rap study should give people a good idea if they need CPAP. But as a diagnostic tool it is no substitute for a full PSG study. Oximetry, respiratory effort and EEG are all necessary to properly understand the patient's condition.
