zzzDad true...I like your point about

"Americans will find a way to spend, it is their nature"

I think a major difference between the great depression, and modern times is this very fact....that not only Americans, but the entire Western World as a whole love to spend....entire generations have been brought up that way and they don't know any other way! They are nothing like the older generations that were frugal and didn't spend much at all.

No one will want to go back to that kind of lifestyle....for goodness sakes even those hippi types have acreage properties, drive $100K four wheel drives and spend their days at the trendy cafes and the Mao Chinese Communists live in the lap of luxury hehehe
