The Betashares PDS says it gains the short value by 'SP500 futures contacts". It should not do anything other than in the PDS. I followed up with Betashare because I wanted to know closer the inverse multiplier within 2 to 2.75 times stated in the PDS. What I have found is it's all over the place from 0.756 to 3.416 multiplier in just three days without any rhyme or reason.
