I think it is all too easy to believe that the moment that the Corona virus issue is resolved, everything goes back to normal, rather quickly - I don't see that happening.
The massive damage to businesses and personal wealth that is a consequence of the (necessary) shut-downs, is going to be with us for a LONG time. Some businesses will suffer greatly reduced profitability, some will never resume, unemployment levels will continue at high levels, spending on non-essentials will be curtailed. All of these things hinder the return of the status quo.
Personally, I don't think we will ever return to the days of pre-COVID-19 - whether that's for the better, or the worse, remains to be seen.
