Its about stimulus not about proping up house prices, if they fell it still costs the same to build a house. A healthy building sector creates a lot of underlying employment for Australia. I would have rather the Govt give 28 thou for building a house and forgo the 7 on established houses. A lot of builders and the whole industry will haVE BREATHED a sigh of relief oday.
