I agree electric cars are a small part of the future but there are so many logistical problems facing consumers.
#1 is charging them.
Not everyone has a garage or driveway, a hell of a lot of people park in the street several metres from their house.
Another interesting thing is with all these apartment blocks being built everywhere now there is no provision for charging stations in the car parks. It is not part of the build. Not even a cable being run under the ground ready to connect a plug in later.
I really don't think there is a passion for electric cars with the consumer if they face these charging problems.
Authorities can go all on electric cars but if there is not an appetite from the consumer it may change their minds.
