That's not true. The game receives broadcasting money and both games are DESPERATE to fulfil their TV obligations. The vast majority of the NRL's income comes from broadcasting rights and the NRL (and probably the AFL) are desperate to fulfil their obligations to receive this substantial part of their revenue.
