One is the spot price and one is the futures price. On the investing site "GC" is the futures price and "XAU/USD" is the spot price. And yes, the spread between the 2 is now at record levels. Before it used to be about $13 difference. The reason is because bullion is actually running out. The Perth Mint just released a notice about it. Paper gold is not rising to meet the physical price properly.
