Essentially the High Court is saying without a 2nd witness don't bother taking anyone to court. Australia will become a criminals paradise. I wonder how many of the knobs on here would feel if the only witness to a rape was their own daughter who had been raped. High Court has in effect said her word will not be good enough against his word, unless there are DNA samples or video recordings etc.
Don' forget one of the 'boys' had committed suicide and therefore could not give verbal evidence.
Basically the High Court accepting Pell's word over the 'victim'. Reasonable doubt established in that manner IMO, given the 'so-called'' event happened so long ago. Most people don't remember what they did last week, let alone 20 years ago - did Pell always go to the front of the church after mass every single time is a question we will never know because many of us are not robots and do the same thing everyday.
