Pica' we rarely disagree but sorry you're wrong this time; it most certainly does mean he is innocent of those charges. The decision of the High Court is unambiguous; it does mean Pell is innocent of those five specific charges on which he was wrongly convicted.
The definition of "innocent" in relation to charges and offences is perspicuously clear cut: "not guilty of charges and offences".
As you know there are other adjectival definitions of the word "innocent" but they relate specifically to other meanings of the word.
