Some interesting thinking in this thread as to the nature of gold and as to why it exists as a source of value.Thankyou everyone.
Alan Greenspan, in my opinion does an excellent commentary on the case for gold in his 1966 essay 'Gold And Economic Freedom'.
Anyone who hasn't checked it out, google it and absorb its wisdom it has to offer. Somewhat ironic considering his later position of Chairman of the Fed....
